Network Problem Analyzer

Jun 20, 2009 @ 06:41 pm by HackingManual

Get a complete analysis of your network traffic and anything that could be causing problems using ICSI Netalyzr. This online scanner is hosted by Berkeley.edu

Although however ironic an Online network problem analyzer is, it really does do a nice job.

In my report I found out that comcast residential service blacklists me from sending email. So if I had an email server at home my email’s would go out as spam.

Is Your Voicemail Secure?

Jun 20, 2009 @ 06:37 pm by HackingManual

Do you have a password set on your cell phone voicemail? If not then anyone can access your voicemail from anywhere

Cellular voicemail is authenticated by caller id. That is why when you call from your cell phone it lets you into the inbox. However these days it’s very easy for someone to spoof thier caller ID, instantly giving them access to your voicemail.

On Screen Keyboard Won’t Protect You From Keyloggers

Jun 17, 2009 @ 08:14 pm by HackingManual

If you think using an on screen keyboard will protect you from key loggers you’re wrong.

Many Keyloggers also take screen shots and record mouse movements.

To protect your self from Keyloggers use a good FREE antivius and spyware program. Like Avira and Spyware Doctor Starter Editon.

Another good idea is to use a password manager like KeePass or Scarabay which eliminate the need to type or even see your password, so screenshots won’t reveal a thing.

Jun 11, 2009 @ 03:55 pm by HackingManual

There are many different methods to access your computer from anywhere. After using many options I’ve found LogMeIn to be the fastest, easiest most secure, most featured option for accessing your computer from anywhere.

Here are the top reasons I prefer LogMeIn over other options such as Remote Desktop, VNC, PCAnywhere.

*Free
*No need for a public IP address
*No need to open your firewall
*Built in Encryption
*Remotely Power on your PC.
*Access as many computers as you need to.

Quickly Share Your Screen

Jun 11, 2009 @ 02:16 pm by HackingManual

Want to quickly share your screen with others or view another’s screen? Use skype. If the person you want to share your screen with is already on Skype, no problem. If the person doesn’t use Skype, It still better to have them download skype rather than another application which might not work as well or is complicated to use. You can also use Skype to share files, video chat, make phone calls or instant message your contacts.Works with Windows, Mac and Linux. So you won’t have to worry about what platform the other person is using.
