Maybe you have some pictures on your phone you’d rather others not see when they ask to borrow your iPhone.

You can upload your iPhone photos to the Drop Box App and Password protect the Drop Box iPhone app with a password This is also helpful if your iPhone is lost or stolen.

So you won’t have to store your pictures in your main iPhone Photos. Yet you can still easily access them. Now you can feel comfortable letting others see your phone.

Additionally you can organize your Iphone photos into specific folders as well.

After being failed by MSE, and Avira I decided to try Avast Free Antivirus and I think I have finally found the perfect solution. I like the fact that it comes pre-configured out of the box. I didn’t have to go through any settings. It auto-updates daily and even lets you know via audible alert that it has been updated. I especially like the fact that it automatically blocks viruses and infected pages in real time. This is where the other Antivirus suites had failed me.

Doesn’t Consume very many resources unlike alternatives
Very high protection in real time which I think is the most important
Doesn’t get in my way or annoy me asking me questions constantly
High results from AV Comparatives and the #2 download on download.com
Option to perform Boot time Scan which scans your computer before the viruses can load and hide
Ability to set exclusion paths. When you have programs/files you want to exlcude from being detected

Comes with a vast array of Real-Time Shields

File System – Scans while opening/writing
Mail- Scans incoming/outgoing emails
Web – Scans your web traffic for viruses and bad sites
P2P – Scans files downloaded from File sharing programs automatically
IM – Scans files recieved via instant messaging programs
Network- Prevents viruses that try to reach your computer via the network
Behavior – Looks for unusual behaivor

Download Avast Free Anti-Virus

So I let someone borrow my computer and what do you know it got a Virus.

None of my usual tools were working. Malwarebytes, Avira, Microsoft Security Essentials, Spyware Doctor W/Anti Virus, Spy-bot. None of them had any effect.

I decided to give Hitman Pro a shot. And wow did it surprise me. With in 5 minutes it had found the Virus, Saw the critical windows files it had corrupted. Get ready for this..It downloaded fresh copies of those windows files and replaced them before deleting the old ones. Never have I seen an Anti-virus do that. I was surprised. Hitman pro isn’t a fully time anti-virus, it’s just a scanner or as it calls it’s self, a second opinion Anti-Malware.

It can be ran from USB Drive. It does have a steep price, but it does have a 30 day trial if you find you need it. Another negative I found is that it starts to scan right away before you can activate it. Which is both good and bad. If you’ve got no viruses then great, and you don’t have to activate your 30 day license yet, but if it does find something you’ll have to activate it, then rescan. I guess overall that’s actually a benefit.

The program used is called Kon Boot and It is prepackaged on the latest version of Hiren’s Boot CD.

Basically all you have to do is run Kon Boot from a CD and seconds later you can login to the system without a password. It’s really that Simple. Just select the user you want to login as and leave the password blank and hit login.

Works with pretty much all windows versions and windows servers, as well as many popular versions of Linux.

Do you have private conversations on yahoo messenger. Did you know anybody with access to your computer can read them without having your password?

All of your IM logs are stored in a yahoo messenger Dat file that is normally unreadable. There is a new freeware program called Yahoo Messenger Archive Decoder that will allow a person to read the IM logs without being online and without having your password. It even lets you export the logs as word documents. This provides a security until Yahoo encrypts their Instant Messenger Files.

Many Keyloggers also take screen shots and record mouse movements.

To protect your self from Keyloggers use a good FREE antivius and spyware program. Like Avira and Spyware Doctor Starter Editon.

Another good idea is to use a password manager like KeePass or Scarabay which eliminate the need to type or even see your password, so screenshots won’t reveal a thing.

Becoming a hacker is not something you learn but instead it is a state of mind. A hacker is someone who thinks differently than the rest. A hacker is a problem solver who creates a solution no one else has thought of before. Nothing is impossible to a hacker. There is always a solution, other people just haven’t thought of it yet.

Hackers don’t play by the rules. The rules exist to tell us what we can and can’t do, but nothing is impossible for a hacker. I guess no one ever told the Wright brothers it was impossible to fly. I guess no one ever told Thomas Edison it was impossible to create a light bulb. These people were all hackers in their own way, solving problems by thinking differently.

I’m going to be redefining hacking. Lets forget about Hacker vs. Cracker. Most websites you will find believe that Hackers are programmers and Crackers break through security systems. Those who have copied that definition are obviously couldn’t think for themselves. As I said before being a hacker is a state of mind, how you use that intelligence another story. There are good and bad hackers just like there are good and bad doctors.

So where did the term hacker come from? The term hacker was originally given to furniture makers, back then they didn’t have nails. So they used an Axe to hack the wood together in a way that created furniture. Obviously they thought outside the box to solve a problem, so the name is perfect as it relates to computer hackers.
